About FactLenss
FactLenss was born from a simple but exhausting reality: trying to stay informed had become a full-time job.
Too often, people are asked to sort through competing headlines, conflicting emphases, partial context, and narrative pressure with far too little time and far too little clarity.
That experience raised a question that became the foundation of this project:
"What if AI could be used not to generate more noise, but to make the noise around public events easier to examine, compare, and understand?"
FactLenss is one answer to that question.
What We Do
FactLenss is a public, independent platform that helps readers understand contested claims, fast-moving events, and the competing narratives that shape them.
- 01
Track Public Claims
We follow important public claims across reporting, official statements, speeches, and open-source material so major assertions can be examined in context rather than in isolation.
- 02
Clarify What Is Established
We distinguish between what appears well supported, what remains uncertain, and what still depends on stronger corroboration. The purpose is to reduce confusion, not to overstate certainty.
- 03
Map Competing Interpretations
Instead of collapsing events into a single storyline, we show where major interpretations converge, where they diverge, and why different actors describe the same event differently.
The goal is not to tell readers what to think. It is to make the landscape of interpretation more visible, more legible, and easier to examine critically.
Why It Matters
Modern information ecosystems reward speed, emotion, and narrative alignment. They rarely reward accuracy, nuance, or transparency.
FactLenss exists to counter that, not by replacing journalism, but by giving readers a clearer way to understand how claims are framed, contested, and sustained.
- show how events are being framed
- surface contradictions and pressure points
- place isolated claims into wider context
- reduce the pull of narrative bias
- make complex developments easier to follow
We believe that clarity is a public good.
How We Sustain the Platform
FactLenss is funded by donations, which support:
- ongoing coverage and case production
- research into analytical quality and reliability
- the infrastructure needed to keep the platform running
- continued independence from commercial or political influence
Keeping the platform free and accessible is a core part of the mission.
Our Vision
A world where people do not have to spend hours verifying what they read.
A world where analysis is transparent, not manipulative.
A world where AI helps illuminate truth rather than distort it.
FactLenss is a step toward that world: a public-facing effort to make difficult events more understandable without flattening them into easy slogans.
